Roger lives in Paradigm City, an area that its residents believe is the last civilization left. The Big O follows Roger Smith, a wealthy negotiator who happens to own the eponymous giant robot, Big O.
But The Big O is notable for more than just that piece of trivia, as the series became a bizarre synthesis of East and West.
The anime series known as The Big O has a place in history as one of the first anime series that received funding from Cartoon Network's Toonami block, as the channel helped it to get a second season made so that it might finish its story.
